As previously mentioned we have start using UserVoice for tracking new ideas for products and features for Lightning Tools. One thing that popped up was an idea for the Lightning Jump Web Part. This web part allows you to maintain a list of keywords that relate to specific urls that people want to visit often such as HR or expense forms. Think MOSS search Best Bets but with ajax auto complete functionality (works with WSS 3.0 also).
One drawback from the initial version was that the keywords were defined per site collection – no good if you wanted to a master list for the whole of SharePoint. This has now been updated and fixed though thanks to peoples feedback! See here for more info and a couple of screencasts of the web part in action.
Keep the ideas and feedback coming!
